Nurse Practitioners

Nurse Susan Neal (f)

SRN. RSCN, HV DIP BSc - Partner/Nurse Practitioner/Nurse Manager

Susan joined the practice in 1991 as a practice nurse. She graduated from the Royal College of Nursing in 1999 with a BSc in Health Studies, a Nurse Practitioner diploma and also has an Extended Nurse Prescribing qualification. She works part time in this role in addition to managing the nursing team. As nurse practitioner, her qualifications enable her to assess, diagnose & manage a wide range of patient problems both acute and chronic.

Nurse Judith Coomer (f)

RGN BSc - Nurse Practitioner Primary Care, Independent Prescriber. Diploma Asthma/Diabetes/CHD/Family Planning

Nurse Practitioner Judy has a background in Accident & Emergency before joining Practice Nursing from 2003. She became a nurse practitioner from 2006 and has a special interest in diabetes and respiratory longterm conditions. As a nurse practitioner, her extra qualifications enable her to assess, diagnose & manage a wide range of patient problems both acute and chronic. She supports the doctors in providing care for the whole patient population.

Nurse Jo Bushell (f)

Nurse Rachel West (f)

Nurse Louise Whiteley (f)

R.G.N. Practice Nurse. Chronic Disease Management and a full range of basic nursing care. She has specialist training in Diabetes, Asthma, Contraception care and Travel Medicine.

There is currently a team of practice nurses delivering a fully comprehensive and advanced range of nursing services. In some cases nurses are now delivering care that was once only performed by medical staff and for many chronic diseases the team delivers care in much the same way whether it be a doctor or nurse. All our nurses are highly trained and experienced in nursing generally and in primary care nursing specifically. They each have their own particular interests, specialities and responsibilities within the team and are actively encouraged in extra and specialist training.

Healthcare Assistants

Lizzie Howell (f)

Health Care Assistant - assists in theatre and undertakes basic nursing duties under the indirect supervision of the practice nurse team.
